I started my calling in public service with the County of Los Angeles Probation Department as Reserve Deputy Probation Officer in August of 2010, during that time I was assigned to the East Los Angles Juvenile Gang Unit and Reserve Deputy Training Division. In 2013, I was promoted to Senior Reserve Deputy Probation Officer where I supervised approximately 180 active Reserve Deputy Probation Officers. I volunteered thousands of hours for the Probation Department and in 2014, I was awarded Los Angeles County’s Volunteer of the year. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Los Angeles and most recently a Master in Public Administration with a Specialization in Organizational Leadership. I am a transformational leader with over 18 years of experience and expertise in Security Operations and Security Technology, with a verifiable record of driving positive change and experiences through leading initiatives, creating team cultures, and standardizing processes while leveraging the use of technology. By joining Mariposa Alliance, I will aim to improve the lives of the vulnerable children in our foster care system or those that are at risk of entering the system. Here at Mariposa Alliance we are developing a pipeline of leaders and innovators and building a movement to transform the child foster care and youth services systems.
